JAZZ: interview Gameblog (FR)

Description

In a 2D Platformer mixed with puzzles you embody Trump, a jazzman living in the New Orleans of the early twentieth century. Jump, bounce against walls and use your trumpet to handle time so you can achieve challenges designed for a nomad experience full of swing.

The game has won the ‘Video Game of the Year 2012’ price given by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication. It has also globally received positive critics:

"Jazz has style, class, and excellent controls, making it one of the best platformers we've played lately." - 4/4 SlidetoPlay.com

"With its early-20th century aesthetic, awesome soundtrack, and solid gameplay mechanics, JAZZ finds a winning combination with great appeal" - 4.5/5 AppSmile.com

"If you choose to play this game, which you probably should, play it all the way through to the very end. It's an incredibly ambitious game that sets out to tackle an issue that most other games will often only hint at." - 8/10 DarkZero

"Trump’s story is very well-told and is soul-stirring at times." - 15/20 Jeuxvideo.com

"Jazz stands out as a must have for every fan of platformer games and marked atmosphere." - 9/10 PocketGamer.fr

"Recommended blindly, to revel in the soundtrack and discover a story full of poetry." - 4/5 Gameblog.fr

Note: If you want to know more about the game, please check the Post-Mortem (Part 1, Part 2) written in the blog. I want to thank Nicolas Badoux, Egg Ball co-founder, for authorizing me to talk about the game.
